“Peace"
A state of psychological well-being and calmness within oneself despite the
happenings of the world around you or as I’d like to call it the consistent
pining or yearning for "true contentment".
The concept of peace is a tough one to grasp, how do you know you’re truly at
peace? What are the determining factors?
Is peace the absence of conflict or the ability to work and live through it?
Two things can be true; however, we live in a world where peace is a concept
we set ourselves up to pursue rather than embrace or attain in various ways.
We constantly push ourselves and run our minds through the mill trying to achieve a goal that is relative.
Often so set on an ideal of what contentment is and should be, we subject ourselves to more mental torture trying to attain what we feel and see as peace rather than figuring out what works for us.
One cannot have a life void of conflict, or at least one worth living, for it is the tough times that make these moments of peace worth having.
Peace is not a destination; it is a set of stops along the way. The pockets of joy we find and create for ourselves amidst the chaos, these moments are our peace.
There can never be a process of betterment without taking yourself into
account. Your peace could be in coming to terms with certain things rather than
trying to change them, changing your approach to life, or even taking better care
of yourself.
Peace is whatever you make it, you decide your pockets of joy and they are
yours alone, there is no one way to achieve or experience this state.
You are your peace, it’s up to you to find your space or flow.
